The service here is horrible every time we go. Today was no exception. The female staff did not want to help us. Unfortunately for repairs for my wedding ring, we are stuck w crappy Kay’s jewelers, but I told my husband today that in the future for anniversary jewelry and holidays, we most definitely need a new jewelry store. We will never buy new jewelry from them again.
It no longer looked like my wedding ring so I wanted them to fix it. When I picked it up the second time it was better but it still didn't look like the original and was still hexagonal. This time there was a rough spot and gap where the diamonds ended.
The most disappointing thing is that I had a stone replaced 10 years earlier by another jeweler and it looked perfect, so I know it's possible to repair it without ruining it.
I was so disappointed and angry that I wanted to ask for my money back. I waited almost an hour for the manager and finally left.
I don't have anything bad to say about the saleswomen and I know they have to tow the company line, but I wish they had the authority to do the right thing on their own.
We bought my ring from there, and dealt with a wonderful saleswoman. We came back a few weeks later to look into buying my boyfriend's ring and we dealt with Austen. He was very pushy... and non-informed at all. When we questioned him on things that did not make sense- his answers made even less sense, and you could easily tell he was feeding us some BS lies. When the topic of warranty came up, we kindly declined and his response was "Are you serious!? I highly suggest you do it..." Again... I declined and he made me feel like I was inconveniencing him personally by declining a $80 warranty on a $200 ring... For this reason alone- we will NOT be buying his ring there. It was unbelievable how unprofessional and rude Austen was to us. We will be looking elsewhere.
I brought my channel set wedding band in for repair. I just needed a stone reset and I understood that the channels would need some reinforcement. When I picked it up the first time, the channels were built up so high that the visible diamond surface was literally half of the original. The diamonds were so deep that what used to look like ice looked like gray specks. Not only that but the ring was no longer round, it was hexagonal!!
Staff goes above and beyond to take good care of me and my jewelry. They always go the extra mile to make sure that I am happy with my customer experience, and the pieces I purchase from Kay. Thanks to Austen and all of his crew for always making me feel welcomed and like a special customer!
I had a problem with one of my rings after they repaired it. They not only went above and beyond to make sure it was fixed, but thr customer service continued to make aure that I was completely satisfied! Thank you Austen, McKenna and Maggie!
Now I hate my ring so much that I just want to melt it down and start over.
